EVERYTHING CHANGES

On December 20th 2002, a gang of four free radicals brought this website to life, convinced that the meaning of life can only be sought with a full-face lid sat on the head. But as they encountered minor obstacles along the way, like marriage, parenthood and full-time jobs, the decision was made to redesign the website for the first time in ten years. Actually, focus it towards another segment of readers, people they increasingly identified with as the time went by. DROPBIKE remains a website for the Horsemen of the Apocalypse, but also for cross country bikers, mountain bikers, urban riders and all cyclists riding anything resembling a mountain bike. Because…

Everything changes.

And as it will continue to change, we can already announce another redesign. Luckily, not in the near future: only when the aforementioned four become granddads and retire. At that time they might address a new audience that they’ve started to identify with over the years – wheelchair riders with blankets covering their legs.  But one condition will remain: the wheelchairs must have 2.1 tyres fitted. Bare minimum! And sport off-road threads, because…

Everything changes; DROPBIKE only as much as is inevitable and as much as its creators see fit.

Dropbike.com is a mountain biking webzine with forum, edited from Croatia and followed throughout the region (Bosnia & Herzegovina, Slovenia, Serbia…), as well as in other countries (judging from our stats, although we haven’t a clue why there are so many hits from Norway?!). In 2011 we had on average 54,000 unique visitors per month.

We are open to collaboration and welcome content promoting mountain biking, cycling safety and commuting. We are also willing to test and review any cycling-related products and bring them to the spotlight of the local market. As long as they’re decent and noteworthy.
